We are thankful for volunteers like Terry. She meets with high school students at the Family Learning Center several times each week. The students want to improve their English skills so they can pursue summer jobs. They know they need better English to do well in school, so they will continue practicing this summer. Among Terry’s students are these four young men (pictured) who have come to the US in the last year; they represent four different countries (Afghanistan, Ukraine, Sudan, and Syria).

We’re always looking for more volunteers. You can make a difference in a student’s life by meeting with them as little as one hour a week. You might make a lifelong friend, learn about a new culture, and may share your love of our country, where we’re blessed with peace and freedom. Will you join us? Start the process here. No time right now? Donors provide the help that keeps our doors open.
